Vintage sculptural timber Vase

Beautiful old timber vase that has sculptural appeal. I am unsure what material it was crafted from, but looks different at every angle. Measures approximately 21.5cm x 16cm at tallest/widest points . Please note.  Condition consistent with age and use. There are a few small areas that could do with some oil/stain, but otherwise a lovely piece ready for display.
