Ink Blotters were traditionally used to absorb excess ink from fountain pens, designed to rock back and forth. (Prior to that Salt was sprinkled).
This old blotter still retails its blotting paper used to absorb ink. The wood is beautifully seasoned with age. This would look gorgeous on a desk or shelfie or even a cabinet of curiosity!
